The IVANS Division of Applied Systems is focused on offering a unique and innovative software platform that enables interface data exchange between carriers and agency partners serving the P&C Industry.  Project Managers are responsible for the overall delivery of a project or multiple projects.  This includes the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring (including overall communication plan and associated follow-ups), and successful completion of implementation, optimization, and other customer-facing projects.  Working with our clients, Project Managers are responsible for the successful execution of all activities required to successfully complete system implementation, and product optimization, on other projects utilizing a methodical approach to planning and guiding project processes from start to finish.    What You’ll Do - Create and/or execute against a comprehensive implementation project plan; define and manage project scope adapting to evolving requirements - Ensure the appropriate level of stakeholder engagement in order to successfully execute against established timelines and desired outcomes - Prepares, conducts, and documents internal and external project meetings - Implement and maintain multiple project schedules, project documents, and meeting notes following established internal and external requirements - Monitor deliverables and timing, the responsiveness of resources, and deliverables to internal and external customers - Provide integrated change control via an established change request process - Provide comprehensive ongoing risk management - Ensure that the communication strategy is executed across the project teams - Perform appropriate and timely follow-up with both the customers and internal areas to ensure the project plan is progressing as scheduled both proactively and on a reactive basis for known work; conduct meetings when necessary - Provide recommendations and communications for mid-course adjustments both internally and externally - Successfully manage client relationships by aligning with the client Project Manager and effectively addressing and resolving conflicts in a timely manner - Create, maintain, and distribute accurate project status reporting across all active projects  - Experience using Kimble, Salesforce, or other project management tools preferred - Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate manager or management team   What You’ll Need to Succeed We’re looking for someone who: - Can work remotely or from an Applied Systems office - Ability to travel (post-COVID-19) Your experience should include some or all of the following: - Minimum of 5 years of Project work experience including the ability to manage large business and technology projects through the full software development lifecycle - Extensive knowledge in the use of Project Management methodologies (agile, scrum, waterfall, etc.) - Thorough knowledge of Project Management methodologies including the procedures, processes, products, and systems necessary to understand how to analyze and interpret complicated information in carrying out assigned tasks. - Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages; execute with limited information and ambiguity - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Project Management and/or some specialized training - We proudly support and encourage people with military experience, as well as military spouses, to apply    Additionally, you may have: - PMP or CAPM preferred - Insurance industry experience What You’ll Gain Benefits from Day One - Health insurance plans, dental, and vision - Wellness incentives - 401(k) and/or RRSP retirement savings plans with employer match Work-Life Balance - Competitive paid vacation time and a free day for your birthday - Personal/sick time - Paid holidays - Flex Time - Paid parental leave (U.S. candidates) - Volunteer time off Empowering Career Growth and Success – We invest in talent, care about our people and are empowered by the results of our work. Ivans, a division of Applied Systems, is currently searching for a Director of Product Management, Distribution to lead our Ivans Distribution Platform and bring new distribution solutions from concept to market. The Ivans Distribution Platform team at Ivans leads a distribution ecosystem that enables P&C insurance carriers, technology partners, and independent agencies to digitally market, quote and bind more of the right commercial business. Insurance carriers, technology partners, and agencies connect through Ivans’ API-driven platform to ensure seamless connectivity and expand distribution channels.  The individual in this role will lead a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts to uncover the voice of the customer and build the strategy and technology roadmap while evangelizing the value of the platform internally and throughout the industry.   What You’ll Do - Act as the business owner for the Ivans Distribution Platform; help define and execute its’ strategy for continued expansion and growth. - Interface with external customers, including partners, to capture the voice of the customer and ensure challenges and opportunities are fully understood and captured. - Motivate and lead a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts to help prioritize and build customer-driven requirements with a focus on speed-to-market. - Work closely with UX and Development teams to ensure customer needs are clearly communicated and designed into future solutions. - Work closely with Implementation and Customer Success teams to ensure new API-driven solutions are launched successfully for our partners and customers. - Incorporate new requirements and enhancements into the product technical roadmap and champion these initiatives through the intake, prioritization, and development stages. - Work closely with other internal product teams to integrate and build new solutions that add value to shared customers/users. - Plan & track product performance to address emerging customer requirements and scale customer adoption. - Help develop and refine new product value propositions that resonate with our customers, balance contrasting interests among customer sets, and function across target markets. - Build enthusiasm among key stakeholders and guide new products through the early stages of the lifecycle, including legal/regulatory reviews and implementation assets and training. - Support adjacent products, and drive development of new products and features.   What You’ll Need to Succeed We’re looking for someone who: - Can work remotely or from an Applied Systems office - Ability to travel (15%-20%) Your experience should include some or all of the following: - 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Operations, or related field - 2+ years of people management skills - Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects, both strategically and tactically - Exceptional interpersonal, communication (spoken and written), and influencing skills, with a proven ability to navigate a complex, cross-functional environment; ability to communicate at all business levels. - Strong analytical and quantitative skills to support management and prioritization of product go-to-market. - Proven ability to make smart features (customer experience) versus time-to-market trade-offs. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of Information Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines - We proudly support and encourage people with military experience, as well as military spouses, to apply  Additionally, you may have: - Insurance industry experience - Experience managing API-driven products. - Experience managing product ecosystems. - Experience understanding the requirements for both front-end and back-end software solutions. - Experience integrating multiple products into one platform. - Knowledge in the use of Project Management methodologies (Agile Scrum, etc.) - Experience with Amplitude, Confluence, or Jira helpful   What You’ll Gain Benefits from Day One - Health insurance plans, dental, and vision - Wellness incentives - 401(k) and/or RRSP retirement savings plans with employer match Work-Life Balance - Competitive paid vacation time and a free day for your birthday - Personal/sick time - Paid holidays - Flex Time - Paid parental leave (U.S. candidates) - Volunteer time off Empowering Career Growth and Success – We invest in talent, care about our people and are empowered by the results of our work.
